Johnny Lightning Plymouth Barracuda

  

Johnny Lightning was one of the best diecast brands for their production of the Plymouth Barracuda model.  They came with both plastic wheels and rubber wheels.  Here is a small assortment of Barracudas from my collection.   These are the loose ones but I have several more still in package. Johnny Lightning 1965 Volkswagen Transporter Van

Hi there, today I want to show you another Johnny Lightning from my diecast car collection.  It's the orange and white Volkswagen Transporter van.  It looks really sharp, especially with the shiny rims. It should do really well on the track thanks to the plastic wheels.  This casting has a lot of details molded in such as the door hinges, door handles and the engine vents at the rear.   All it needs now is some surfboards dude.

Johnny Lightning: 1963 Chevy Corvair

From the Sixties Sizzle series, here is a 1963 Chevy Corvair by Johnny Lightning.   This ragtop has great lines and a very detailed black and white interior.  Five spoke chrome rims are clad in rubber tires.  The rear deck lid opens to reveal the trunk.  Introduced in 2006, this exquisite casting was produced twice as a convertible and three times as a hardtop.  This particular model came out in 2007.

Johnny Lightning Holiday Classic - Part Two

In 2000, Johnny Lightning created a special Series called Holiday Muscle. The 12 car set all had chrome finished in various colors and instead of plastic wheels they had rubber tires. This series continued to appear every year with new cars and colors until 2007.  In 2011, the Holiday Classic was revived but only a few cars were in the set.  This post shows my collection of Johnny Lightning Holiday cars from 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2011.
